The Primary Sidebar
The list on the left of the Content and Structure views, and everything you can do to it.
The primary sidebar lists every schema on the server and, inside each one, every table, view, function, procedure, trigger, and event. Selecting something here is what decides what the Content and Structure views display.
The Contextual Menu #
The contextual-menu (right-click on one or more items, or use the Action menu button below) is loaded with convenient goodies.

| Open in New Tab / New Window | With several objects selected these become Open in New Tabs and Open in New Windows, one per object. |
| Rename, Delete | Renaming edits the row in place. |
| Duplicate, Duplicate Schema Object… | See Duplicating. |
| Import…, Export… | See Importing and Exporting. |
| Copy Create Statement, Copy Insert Statement, Copy Name | Puts the SQL or the name on the clipboard. With several objects selected, Copy Create Statements copies all of them. |
| Count Rows… | Counts rows in the selected tables — useful when you want real counts rather than the estimates shown in schema content. |
| Compare Database… | Starts a database comparison with this schema already filled in. |
| New Table…, New View…, New Function…, New Procedure…, New Trigger…, New Event…, New Database… | See Creating Databases, Tables, etc. |
| Table Operations | Analyze, Check, Optimize, Flush and the rest. See Table Operations. |
| Paste Conditional Highlights… | Applies highlighting rules copied from another table. See Conditional Highlighting. |
| Focus on Database | Same as typing the schema's name into the focus field. |
| Add to Favorites / Remove from Favorites | See Favorites. |
| Group Objects by Type, Group Objects by Name | See Arranging the Sidebar. |
| Refresh All | Re-reads all schemas and schema objects |
