Server Extensions View — PostgreSQL
Use the Extensions view to browse, install, update, and remove extensions in the connected database. Extensions add functionality beyond the core server, such as data types, foreign data wrappers, and monitoring tools like pg_stat_statements.

The Extensions List #
The list is divided into two sections:
- Installed: Extentions that are active in this database (bold).
- Available: Extentions that are bundled with this PostgreSQL installation but not enabled.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The extension. |
| Version | The version that is installed (if it's installed). Appears in orange if an update is available. |
| Latest | The newest available version. This is green when it differs from the installed version. |
| Schema | Which schema it was installed into. |
| Description | What it does. |
Installing #
-
Select the extension in Available.
-
Click Install… in the bottom bar.
-
Choose the schema, and a specific version if several are offered.
-
Click Install.
PostgreSQL installs the extension, and it moves to Installed.
Updating #
When an update is available, an Update to x.y button appears in the bottom bar for the selected extension. The bottom bar also shows a badge with the number of available updates.
Uninstalling #
Select the installed extension and click Uninstall in the bottom bar. If other objects depend on it (functions, types, tables), Querious lists them and warns they'll be dropped too.
