Navigating Table Content
Shortcuts for moving around a table's rows and columns from the keyboard, and finding what you're looking for.
Keyboard #
In the Table Content rows list:
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| Up / Down | Move the row selection. Hold Shift to extend it. |
| Tab | With one row selected, starts editing its first column. |
| Tab / Shift-Tab while editing | Saves the value and moves to the next or previous editable value in the same row, wrapping around at the ends. |
| Up / Down while editing | Saves the value and moves to the same column in the previous or next row. Requires "Up/Down arrows change rows when editing" to be turned on in the Result Rows preferences. |
| Control-J | Jump to Column scrolls the selected rows back into view. |
| Command-F | Find within Rows… will search for text within the displayed rows only. |
| Command-Shift-F | Focus on Search… will put the keyboard focus on the table search controls. (Handy for keyboard-centric navigation with Tab and Arrow keys) |
| Command-Control-R | Show Related Rows… The classic way to jump to related rows in parent or child tables. (Using the Relationships sidebar is now easier.) |
| Moves to the next/previous batch of rows, depending on the current Row Limit. Set a keyboard shortcut in Settings for these items. |
Jump to Column… #
Choose from the menu or the table's contextual menu, then type part of a column name. Querious scrolls to that column. Use it in tables that are super wide because they have many columns.
Find within Rows… #
opens a Find panel that searches the rows currently displayed in the list — it does not search the table on the server, so use it to spot a value among the rows you're already looking at. To search the whole table, use the search bar instead.

Command-G and Command-Shift-G find the next and previous match without the panel, and Command-E uses the selected text as the search.
Moving Between Pages of Rows #
When a table has more rows than the row limit, and load the previous or next page of rows, like the arrows on the limit control. See Row Limits.
Moving Between Rows #
Press Page Up or Page Down to select the previous or next row in the table. If you're editing a field, the cursor lands in the same field of the new row, so you can step through rows changing one column.
