Navigation
Go To, back and forward, and the fastest ways to get where you're going.
A server with a few hundred tables is not something you want to navigate by scrolling. Querious gives you three ways to move: a launcher-style panel, browser-style back and forward, and the primary sidebar itself.
Go To… #
(Command-Shift-O) opens a floating search field. Type part of the name of any schema, table, view, function, procedure, trigger, or event, and Querious narrows the list as you type. Press Return to go there.

To jump to an object by name
-
Press Command-Shift-O.
-
Type any part of the object's name. (It uses fuzzy matching!)
-
Use the Up and Down arrow keys to choose among the results.
-
Press Return to select that object and display it in the current view.
Narrowing to One Schema #
Go To… also understands the schema.object naming scheme, so typing a partial schema name, a dot, and a partial object name restricts results to that schema.

When the sidebar is focused on a single schema, results from that schema are preferred, so you rarely need to type the schema name at all.
Back and Forward #
Querious records each view and selection you visit, so you can retrace your steps the way you would in a web browser.
| Action | Menu item | Shortcut |
|---|---|---|
| Go back | Control-Command-Left Arrow | |
| Go forward | Control-Command-Right Arrow |
The same two actions are available as buttons in the window's toolbar.

History entries record more than which object was selected — the main view, the subview within it, and where you were inside that subview are all part of the entry. Going back from a table's Indexes to a query result restores the query result you were looking at.
