Screenflick 3.2.1February 20, 2023 - Build 302009

Changes:

  • Fixes a problem where exported videos may appear darker than they should, caused by a bug in macOS 12, 13, and 14.

Screenflick 3.2January 1, 2023 - Build 302001

New:

  • Screenflick Loopback is no longer needed to record system audio on macOS 13 and later!
You can uninstall Screenflick Loopback if you want. Otherwise, if you want to continue using Screenflick Loopback for an advanced reason, you may leave it installed and turn on "Prefer using Screenflick Loopback" in the Screenflick "Audio" preferences view.

  • The live during-recording Camera Preview now has the same visualizer settings to hide the background, darken, the background, or crop to a shape.
  • The live during-recording Camera Preview (the floating window showing what the camera sees) now has a setting to control whether it is captured in the screen recording or not.
Turning it off lets YOU see the camera on-screen, but it is not shown in the screen recording's video, letting you position it independently at the time of export, or separately in an external video editor.
Turning it on lets both you and the final/end-viewer see it in the recording exactly where you position it, live during the recording.
The camera video is still always captured independently to its own video file.
  • The Camera Preview and camera visualization in the exported movie file both have a new option to flip/mirror the camera horizontally.
  • When using the "Record windows from…" option, system audio is also only recorded from the captured applications. This can be used to exclude system audio from specific programs.
  • The floating controls window appearance has been improved and now contains the screen markup controls for easier access.

Changes:

  • With macOS 13 and later, it's recommended to use the built-in capability to connect your iOS device camera to your Mac. Using the Screenflick Camera app on iOS is now disabled by default, but can be reenabled in the "Remote" preferences view.
