Screenflick Release Notes

New:

Includes an all-new updater.
Exporting QuickTime movies can be as much as 30-40% faster.
Preview playback performance is about 2x as fast.
The Time Scale option in the export sheet now shows the duration when changing values.
Added an alert at launch when not running in the Applications folder.

Fixes:

Exported QuickTime movies now avoid incorrect gamma correction by QT.
Fixed a problem with a newly recorded movie not showing up after recording.
Better error reporting if exporting fails.
QuickTime movies exported with the "Other" tab are now made fast start.
If a recording is stopped before it records anything, it no longer shows up in the list and is instead immediately deleted.
Fixed a few crashes.

New:

Each movie export is done in an external process to avoid hitting the 32-bit memory limit and crashing.
Audio/video sync is significantly improved.
Recording quality levels have been bumped up across the board, but do use a touch more CPU and disk space than before. The "Highest" quality level now is practically lossless. The second-highest level is about what "Highest" was before.

Fixes:

A critical bug fix which will prevent crashing when the screen resolution changes. (The previous fix was not 100% reliable. Sorry.)
A clearer error message should show up to explain the OS bug during recording which is finally fixed in the upcoming OS X 10.8.3
Fixes a bug where a recording with a pause could look like it is paused forever when played back.
Fixed some minor graphical glitches with the progress bar during export.
Now ensures that the individual channel volumes on Soundflower (2ch) are all the way up during system audio recording. (Prevents rare cases of recording silent or quiet audio.)
Fixed a crash during movie loading in rare cases with bad data.
Turned off the recent auto-reloading of movies due to issues.
